The Quest Program at Bloomsburg University is bringing up the anchor for our 8 ^th annual Eco-Quest Off-Road Triathlon which will be held on Saturday, April 19 ^th, 2008. This is the second event of the River Towns Race Series, which is a series of area races (biking, running, etc.) with a cumulative points system. Registration for this event can be made in the solo Ironman or Ironwoman category, or in a team of three. Cost is $70 for a three man team or $105 on the day of the race for a three man team. The Ironman or Ironwoman entry fee is $35 or $45 per person for signing up on the day of the race. Race participants must be 18 years of age or older. To register, teams can pick up registration and assumption of risk forms in the Quest office at Bloomsburg University, contact us to e-mail (quest@bloomu.edu) you a pre-registration form or download them below. Both forms must be filled out by all participants. Early registrations postmarked on or prior to March 31st will receive a FREE event t-shirt.

After the race there will be prizes awarded to the winning racers. All entrants will receive a registration bag. There will also be refreshments available for a low fee prior to, during and after the race. Racers will have hydration stations at two places along the course.

Race day registration begins at 7am and ends at 8:15am at the Quest Climbing Tower on the upper campus of Bloomsburg University. The mandatory pre-race meeting will be at 8:15am at the climbing wall on the upper campus. The race will start at approximately 9am. This could fluctuate a bit due to the anticipated high number of entries. We will start no later than 9:15am.

We do ask that before coming up to upper campus, you drop your boats off at the starting location which will be either at Fishing Creek water section or at the Bloomsburg airport boat ramp. Please refer to the paddling section for updates and maps, a definite start location will be posted by the Monday before the race. We will have staff there looking after all of the boats. If you are unable to do this there will be shuttles available for your boats from the registration site. All racers will be shuttled via university bus due to limited parking at the starting point.
